See it if you love folk music, great staging, energetic and engaging performers, joyful theatre and heartfelt storytelling. A wonderful delight!
Don't see it if you don't like joyful music and performances or a romantic story of young unrequited love and great acting.
See it if you’ve ever felt you missed your destiny and want to have a good cry about it. But also, the music and performances are raw and beautiful.

See it if you would enjoy a mostly young, talented cast on a well-appointed set, every actor also a musician, with good choreography, well directed.
Don't see it if you do not like slow musicals with music that you will not be humming. It is not an upbeat musical.
See it if into boy-meets-girl, with a loose plot and many unrelated Irish-ish songs. A large cast of good actors/musicians, lovingly done.
Don't see it if well... the original film was magical, but that was when the concept was fresh. This "Once" is exquisite, but too often cutesy or forced.
