About the show

Part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival, the story follows the relationship of childhood sweethearts with big dreams that threaten to pull them onto very different paths. More…

Told through the eyes of young adults as well as children, Edison Wolters and Jenny Zimmermann are two friends who have grown up together in the small town of Jacksonia, Wisconsin. Edison has spent his whole life living and working on his family’s farm. Both creatives, Edison a talented painter and Jenny a fine writer, they fell in love and have plans of starting a life together. As they transition out of high school into adulthood, their views about commitment and contentment are challenged as they must make decisions about college, careers, and family. Will their love for one another be able to make the transition as well? 'Passing By' is backed by a contemporary folk band.
