Also It was funny at times and the actors definitely do a good job with their roles. The music is very reminiscing of the early 2000's so if there was something i enjoyed, it was the music. However, the overall show seemed a little too ridiculous or forced for me. I usually enjoy parodies and silly musicals or plays, so 'bathroom humor' and swearing doesnt bother me, but the overall feeling this show gave me was that it was trying too hard to impress a 14 y/o boy, the vulgarity was there just because, and it wasnt funny, just awkward.

See it if you like campy musical theatre with a rock music score. Sit against the wall or in the very back if you prefer more legroom.

Don't see it if you find table seating in a mildly cramped space in the back room of a bar to be undesirable, or if you don’t like loud tunes or bad words.

Also If you can score a more booth-like seat near the bar area in back, it will afford you a bit more space to stretch out, as tables and chairs are otherwise a bit close together. One minor downside to sitting in the back is that it’s also next to the exit out into the main bar area which means sound from there can occasionally bleed through, but not enough to ruin our overall enjoyment of the show.... Read more Read less

Also Pop Punk High is an inventive, well written, well performed loved letter to the Pop/Punk music style of the late 90's/early 2000's. The talented cast is perfectly suited for what they are able to pull off with spot on characters. See it if You grew up in the Emo days and have nostalgia for it. Or watched enough of the movies of the time.

As some one who was a teenager then, I died. In fact, my wardrobe was pretty identical to the leads.

It does a wonderful job at playing some troupes, while turning others on their head.

See it if you grew up listening to Avril Lavigne or Blink-182. Very funny show, and certainly brought back a lot of memories from the 2000s.

Don't see it if you didn't grow up on the punk bands of the 2000s.

See it if You want to be entertained by wonderful singers/actors with a lot of energy, love rock music and want to see a F*** good musical.

Don't see it if You love average musicals with cheesy songs, if you hate rock from 2000's

See it if You enjoy theatre inspired by the early 2000s, performed in an intimate space that makes you feel like you're part of the immense fun.

Don't see it if You have an extremely high standard for theatre, or require perfect singing voices to enjoy a show rather than overall performance.

Also This was a show I was extremely excited to see, being someone mildly obsessed with the music of the 90s/early 2000s. I was even more thrilled to find out that it was extremely funny and so entertaining to watch. The characters were almost like cartoons but somehow also very accurate to how people acted then. The music was so fun that I had to buy a CD after the show. Such an energized cast and they seemed to be really having fun doing this show as much as we were in the audience watching it.
