Cave Theatre Co. presents a dark comedy that reveals the lives of Civil War reenactors with job troubles, love troubles, life troubles — and a predictable quirk or two.

When two hard-core Civil War reenactors show up for their annual Gettysburg beer and find a pretty stranger at their table, old allegiances come into question. Shifting between 1863 and the modern era, 'Row After Row' asks what it means to be brave in the modern world – do you charge ahead and fight at all costs, or stand your ground to protect what’s most important?

See it if I realized, in reviewing The Convent tonight, that I had seen an earlier play by this playwright which I'd enjoyed much more.

Don't see it if I saw this during its short run in 2014 at City Center and remember it as being a very intimate, interesting play about Civil War reenactors
