See it if Your kids like to participate in imaginative storytelling
Don't see it if Your kids can’t sit still for 50 minutes
See it if your kids get bored at traditional stay-in-your-seat shows. Your kids love to participate in shows (or to watch other kids do so).
Don't see it if you want a 1-story show (it's several short bits). You aren't able to enjoy lots of silly onstage improv based on what kids say/do!
"Got a ridiculously super energized imaginative eight year-old or younger?...This play sounds like a good choice for them...Silly comedy, story telling, amusement, face-to-face interaction, and all sorts of fun many kids will enjoy...Peter Michael Marino is a one man whirling dervish of energy, comic timing, physical agility, and out and out hilarity. He is a blast to watch and the kids were absolutely mesmerized."
"Marino knows how to keep the pace fast enough to hold the young audience’s attention while still squeezing in hilarious quips and scenarios, even throwing in a few jokes for the adults. His frenetic physical style is perfectly-suited to this demographic as he bounds around the room, throws props around and leaps onto table tops to keep everyone enthralled. It’s all rounded off with an endearing message about kindness and compassion at the end without overdoing it."
"A great show, with a mixture of songs, audience participation, crowd-sourced ideas and a quick, witty performance by Marino....By the end all went away happy but, most importantly, there were very happy bairns in the room who were enthusiastically engaging with Marino...Any child who wants to giggle, shout out suggestions, get on the stage, and help with the script, props, and set decoration will love it...Adults and bairns alike should show up and see this."
"A superbly improvised hour of energetic theatrical comedy...Part of the reason this show works so effectively is Marino’s ability to work with the children...This technique creates an air of genuine warmth and interaction between audience and performer which is rare to see...‘Show Up, Kids!’ is silly, fast, and funny...Marino handles the unpredictability of working with children in an improvised environment with great skill and grace, putting on a fantastic performance."
