"Sunset, Eclipsed by Seagulls" recounts the true story of a love affair across continents, hindered by political issues between Iran and the US. Jake, an American in his 30s, and Leyla, an Iranian woman in her late 20s, fall in love in Paris. Despite the distance, they commit to being together. Their plans are disrupted when Jake applies for a visa for Leyla, just as Trump's travel ban prevents Iranians from entering the US.
