Don't see it if You don’t like community theater- although this felt a step above. Very well done. It’s in Brooklyn- I’m glad I added extra train time!

Edgy, Absorbing, Riveting, Great acting, Great staging

See it if you enjoy good community theater - here is a great cast on a delightful set providing intense drama over 90 minutes with no intermission.

Don't see it if you want a light show - here is a dour, family struggle w/ the recently widowed matriarch making life hell for her servants and 5 daughters.

Absorbing

See it if I really liked the play. Its intense and has a nice building tension. thought the performances were solid.

Don't see it if you mind some weak production decisions and in general design that at best isn't in the way. Casting can be iffy. Arguably sexist. Read more

Indulgent, Slow, Thought-provoking, Great writing, Absorbing

See it if Gallery Players commendable production of Lorca's classic melodrama Thompson's clean direction is aided by topnotch work from Bove & McGrath

Don't see it if Some of Bernarda's daughters start at too high an emotional pitch forcing them into shrillness Others capture the right emotional despair

A play from the days of yore, good acting and nicely staged.

See it if You want to see an old play staged today. Good ensemble and Ms. McGrath as Poncia, steals the show.

Don't see it if You want to see something modern. (Some period plays like this tells us how we have come so far or how far still we have to go)
