New Ohio Theatre and Live Source present a multimedia production about the Fox sisters who lived in New York state in the 1800's and claimed to speak to the spirits of the dead. More…
The Fox sisters have a dirty secret they’re ready to share. They’ve been talking to the town peddler, Mr. Splitfoot, who’s been murdered, dead and buried for five years. His dearly departed soul is haunting his old home in Hydesville, New York, where the girls now live. They hold a séance to prove their incredible spiritual powers, for those that are willing to witness it. Based on the true story of Maggie and Kate Fox, two young New York girls who in the 1800s became international celebrities by convincing the world they were talking with ghosts. Their rapid rise to and fall from fame tells a darkly comedic coming-of-age story, pulling the girls into a twisted fate as perhaps the first victims of reality star culture.
