A woman navigates a chaotic world where humans, animals, and machines struggle to understand each other.
In a strange city where language is increasingly shaped by algorithms, emotions, and animal instincts, Alenka struggles to make sense of the world around her. Her cousin Frankie is on the way to visit, filling her phone with an endless stream of reels, while the house itself begins speaking its own mind. As human, animal, and machine voices collide, Alenka finds herself questioning how we communicate and whether we can truly understand one another.
Inspired by Kate Bush’s album of the same name, this inventive theatrical work explores the confusion and possibilities of communication in an increasingly fragmented world. Created from text by a diverse group of writers and brought to life through Nicolás Noreña’s direction, Normandy Sherwood’s lush design, and a live foley soundtrack, the production creates a vivid landscape of sound, movement, and language. At its heart is a question that feels more urgent than ever: when familiar ways of communicating begin to break down, can we create a new language to connect with one another?
