See it if You want to fall in love — with Alicia Dattner, or yourself or simply the comedy of life and living. Very funny, edgy & totally honest.
Don't see it if You blush easily; or if honesty disturbs or hilarious but sometimes graphic concepts and language offend ears, sensibilities and orifices.
See it if you want to hear very honest, pretty funny and sometimes embarassing stories about one woman's sexual journey, in a very intimate setting.
Don't see it if you're uncomfortable with eye contact and being addressed directly by the actress. Not laugh out loud funny but some ah-ha moments.

"Dattner’s act is thoughtful, hilarious, and very brave...But Dattner often forgets that on this particular occasion, she’s working in a theatre instead of a comedy club...Dattner stops just short of allowing herself to be that vulnerable...'The Oy of Sex' has plenty of funny moments to go around. "Dattner is smart, funny, entertaining, talented and full of energy...The confluence of a great writer with a talented actor can bring out the depth that comes with the desperate actions of an addict wrapped up with self-effacing humor. Dattner’s range remains in the realm of stand-up, and make no mistake she is quite funny...While she is quite adept at choreographing her use of a microphone, it got between her and the audience, limiting her range of emotion."
