The Russian Arts Theater and Studio cordially invites you to The Rise And Fall Of Macondo, a theatrical performance inspired by Gabriel García Márquez's magnum opus One Hundred Years of Solitude. Staged by acclaimed director Aleksey Burago and featuring the studio ensemble, embark upon a magical and sleepless journey in South America and see the birth and death of the mythical town of Macondo through the history of the Buendía family.
See it if Amusement with the grand sweep & folly of life. Sexual antics, births, violence & death for a family’s 7 generations. Fun choreography.
Don't see it if Dancers in lingerie can’t sustain a 2+ hour show without much plot or character depth. Narration of 3rd person text from the book. Shouting.

See it if You enjoy high energy physicality on stage, seeing actors play multiple actors and want to experience Marquez’s novel on stage!
Don't see it if If you cannot stand accents—the cast is quite international and sometimes text is not clear. However, the dynamic performances compensate!
