The 3rd annual Unchained Play Festival; presenting new works chosen based on originality, inspiration, and innovation, of varying themes and styles.
Each of the pieces, which vary from 10 minutes to 60 minutes in length, will be presented over the course of 3 weeks -- a group of eight unnamed New Yorkers experience a year’s worth of celebrations that begin in the fall of 2001; a young man about to embark on the next chapter of his life and his mother fears that this means a future of loneliness for her; after being dumped by his older boyfriend, Fabuloso is encouraged by his therapist to embark on a tour to sing away the blues -- this festival draws on real conversations and events in each of the writers’ lives.
