Under The Ice is a surreal theatrical exploration of grief, memory, and the afterlife. The narrative centers on Kailan, an anxious teenager who dies in a tragic ice fishing accident and finds himself in an unexpected underwater realm. There, he is guided through the depths of Lake Erie by Clarence, a humorous and absent-minded Ice Fish who speaks and walks.

As Kailan confronts his new reality in the afterlife, the story shifts between his journey and the lives of his grieving family members. Each of them copes with his loss in a distinct way, revealing personal struggles, unresolved emotions, and shifting family dynamics.

Blending dark humor with emotional insight, the piece offers a poignant look at how those left behind navigate sorrow, while imagining what lies beyond in an offbeat, dreamlike world.
