Obvious Volcano presents a new staging of Shakespeare's tragedy set in a post-apocalyptic, post-gender world.

From the show:

A post-apocalyptic, post-gender society at the end of empire.

A “Mad Max” world in which titles and prophecy mean nothing. And everything.

Although the play uses the pronouns as they are written in the original text, no one has been cast in a character that uses the same pronouns that the actor uses in daily life. The characters will be portrayed by the actors as their preferred gender identity in their current physical body.

See it if you'd enjoy seeing the Bard's play in an exciting new setting with gender pronoun changes on a small stage that uses the entire auditorium.

Don't see it if you want the traditional play or if you have difficulty with a wordy play that lasts nearly two hours without an intermission.
