"The Roundabout gets so much right in a splendid, joy-stuffed production: casting, design and even the reduced orchestra...Benanti, besides looking as lovely as ever and earning her laughs, shows off an old-fashioned soprano with affecting vibrato. Levi slips into Georg’s skin with ease, exuding sweet modesty and just a pinch of hauteur. When he cartwheels across the stage during the exultant title song, you’re there with him, getting a contact high from his romantic bliss."

"Most classic musicals have a so-called charm song; 'She Loves Me' has nothing but...Though the director keeps the story moving swiftly and brightly, I couldn’t help wishing it were a little less bright..This is comedy, yes, but not farce, and a feeling of faint mistrust wafts off the stage...Something is missing; or is that just another romantic ideal needing to be knocked back to reality? If so, 'She Loves Me' is the show to do it. Listen with your imagination, and succumb to the ravishment."

"'She Loves Me' is probably the best Broadway musical you’ve never heard of...The Roundabout Theatre Company presented a brilliant revival of the show 23 years ago, and now returns to it again, and I’m thrilled to say that while I have aged, 'She Loves' Me has not, not one bit. The score remains enchanting. One nit, though it’s a substantial one: At Studio 54, the orchestra is split between boxes high on either side of the stage. Not good."
