On the evening of his mother's burial, Monty Navarro, an ordinary Englishman, discovers a remarkable truth: he is directly related to the Earl of Highhurst. To claim his aristocratic status, he must, first, off the preceding eight earls. Driven by love for Sibella and Phoebe, he undertakes the challenge, facing the eccentric D'Ysquith family—portrayed by one actor embodying their mishaps.
