Volatile attachment dominates this play by Wallace Shawn. With Kristen Johnston and Lili Taylor.
A story centering around compassion, domination, and attachment. Lemon, who suffers from a chronic illness, is looking back on the formative moments of her life. She recalls many memories of her Aunt Dan, a family friend, and the way her life was influenced by her toughness and eloquence. Even with glimpses into Aunt Dan’s instability, no one else can make a lasting impression on Lemon. She cannot follow exactly in Aunt Dan’s footsteps and eventually finds a captivating and horrifying path of her own.
