Epic, Exquisite, Entertaining, Delightful, Clever

See it if you enjoy clever, engaging, comedic plays, dedicated strong acting/storytelling, interesting unforgettable characters, story, overall wow!!

Don't see it if you can't sit through a 3 hour show, you are invested in historical classical storytelling, you aren't impressed by theatrics-they're amazing

Ambitious, Relevant, Entertaining, Clever

See it if you want to see a hard working cast provide an unusual slant on Native Americans. There is much truth here, presented in a comic manner.

Don't see it if you need a story told in a straight-forward manner. There's a definite lesson presented here by a talented cast. Liked the music & effects.

"comedy as resistance", Thought-provoking, Over-the-top, Vaudevillian, Sardonic

See it if you like political satire that uses physical comedy, sarcasm, song, dance, and drama to educate and provoke thought.

Don't see it if you really hate anything that is slapstick or farcical. Beware if you can't handle criticism of white colonialism or being uncomfortable.

Long, Great staging, Maximalist, Cliched, Ambitious

See it if you’re down for a self-aware variety show (?) that skewers Native stereotypes & traverses history between two events at Wounded Knee.

Don't see it if you want a nuanced plot & characters; you’re looking for direct reenactment of Native history; you don’t like prop/physical comedy. Read more

Indulgent, Banal, Ambitious

See it if you like sketch comedy shows...it's very silly.

Don't see it if you want a production with more substance. It's long and a bit tedious.

Edgy, Disappointing, Slow, Thought-provoking, Sometimes funny

See it if sophomoric SNL sketches telling an important story of a family living between Wounded Knee massacre & Wounded Knee protests a century later

Don't see it if you expect important insights into Native American struggles, and a moving theatrical event. Wish it were. I had such hopes for it!
