Set in 1935 London, The 39 Steps follows Richard Hannay, an unassuming man who becomes entangled in a web of espionage after a mysterious woman is murdered in his apartment. Accused of the crime and pursued across the country, Hannay must evade capture, uncover the truth behind a shadowy organization known as “The 39 Steps,” and stop a plot that threatens national security.
