Two strangers attempt to navigate the ups and downs of dealing with their past whilst figuring out what the future may hold in store for them.

Featuring original songs inspired by music of the early noughties and present-day R&B and Garage.

There’s a joyous post-pandemic vibe about this gig, full of laughs and quick satirical nips. The club-night vibes – and the cheerful jokes – drown out (sometimes literally) a lot of the more excruciating content.

Stuffy etiquette is out of the window here. People whoop and sing along to the tracks and the space is buzzing and teeming with life. Bangers rides through the things we feel most keenly, and maybe never talk about.

Samal’s attempt to create both a gig and a play in just over an hour is an impressive feat but fails to deliver either fully. After an emotional rollercoaster, the feel-good ending ... feels oddly inappropriate.
