After two completely sold-out runs at Southwark Playhouse, Cable Street makes its return to London in a bold new staging. Produced by 10 to 4 Productions, with music by Tim Gilvin, book and lyrics by Alex Kanefsky, and direction by Adam Lenson, the musical transports audiences back to October 1936 in London’s East End. There, Sammy, Mairead, and Ron strive to shape their own lives as Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists attempts to march through their neighborhood. In response, more than one hundred thousand Jews, Irish workers, and communists rise together to defend their community and block the streets they call home.

Featuring a dynamic, contemporary score, Cable Street is a thrilling reimagining of one of London’s most pivotal moments. At once a stirring story of solidarity and a call to resist hatred, it celebrates the power of ordinary people to stand united against oppression—an urgent and inspiring reminder that resonates just as strongly today.
