Great cast, Audience interaction, Festive, Family fun

See it if you enjoy & support local panto & theatre. Emmanuel Akwafo is hilarious as step mummy & the sisters are humorous with good comedic timing.

Don't see it if you are looking for a spectacular colourful music extravaganza.

“Written by long-term associate of the panto Vikki Stone it’s a far gentler affair than any of its predecessors...Stone’s ‘Cinderella’ is a lot of fun, and if there are fewer gags for grown-ups there are definitely a lot of reworked‘90s bangers to compensate.”

“Behind all the silliness, there is genuine drama in both Cinderella’s journey and her stepmother’s redemption. Stone celebrates the sparkle, but underlines that real change has to come from within.”

"That Cinderella and her Prince imbue their odd couple romance with a palpable chemistry is both a charming bonus and a neat way of addressing a storyline that assumes Cinderella’s consent from the start."

“It’s all very warm-hearted and there’s plenty for younger spectators to enjoy, topped off by a sweet moment of audience participation during the climactic singalong. But considering the high bar that’s been set at the address over the years, it could do with a little extra magic fairy dust.”

All That Dazzles (UK)

“this year’s festive offering from the Lyric Hammersmith is fun, silly and sure to delight Christmas theatregoers. A talented cast, a track list of pop hits, as well as some absolute daftness means this ‘Cinderella’ is a success.”

"Cinderella’s magical makeover from Fairy (Jodie Jacobs) is seamlessly done and Stone cleverly writes in other transformations in a show that is buoyant, playful and daft without quite delivering that delirious panto rush."

“Too often pantos are vehicles for outdated gender stereotypes and insensitive jokes. This ‘Cinderella’, however, is a great night out and you won’t be offended. Riotous and joyful, this version of the nation’s favourite theatrical tradition is a fun and fresh show for all the family to enjoy.”
