Immersive acrobatics and vibrant costumes depict a love story in a bustling bug ecosystem.
Set within a vibrant ecosystem of insects, the show follows the arrival of a new fly who falls for a local ladybug, creating a central love story amid the bustling, interconnected world of bugs. The narrative explores community, biodiversity, and the interactions of the insect world, brought to life through acrobatics, music, and visual spectacle.
The production is directed and choreographed by Deborah Colker, the first woman in Cirque du Soleil history to create an entire show from the ground up, with artistic direction by Lydia Harper. Colker’s work incorporates Brazilian-inspired movement and designs, emphasizing natural forms, textures, and colors. The London staging features 53 acrobats and musicians from 25 countries performing disciplines such as aerial silks, Chinese poles, contortion, slackwire, and trampoline wall.
