The new UK touring production of this award-winning musical about an anxious teenager caught up in a lie.
Evan Hansen is a highly anxious teenager just trying to get through high school. At the instruction of his therapist, Evan writes himself daily letters to lay out why it'll be a good day, but when one of these letters is misconstrued as a note from his recently deceased classmate Connor, he becomes the centre of the school's attention and an emotional support system for the grieving family. As the deception of Evan & Connor's fabricated friendship grows, Evan has to grapple with the consequences of his actions...
With a score by Academy Award-winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul ('The Greatest Showman'), this Olivier & Tony Award-winning musical embarks on its first UK tour, following the show's West End run from 2020-2022.
The Artistic Director of the Nottingham Playhouse, Adam Penford, directs this new production, which is recommended for ages 12+.
