Four nobles’ vows collapse when visiting women spark romance in a flamenco-styled staging.
The comedy follows the King of Navarre and three companions who swear to avoid love and focus on study, only to have their resolve tested when a princess and her entourage arrive on a diplomatic visit. Courtship, wordplay, disguises, and reversals drive the action as attraction undermines their oaths and exposes the limits of rigid ideals.
This production is directed by Indiana Lown-Collins (JMK Award winner for The Solid Life of Sugar Water at Orange Tree Theatre and former Globe Resident Artist), making her Globe Theatre directing debut.
Presented at Shakespeare’s Globe, the play is part of the Summer 2026 season and performed in the open-air Globe Theatre on Bankside.
