One stormy night in the Antilles, a small girl cries in fear of the thunder. To comfort her, the village storytellers tell her the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who falls in love with the wealthy Daniel Beauxhomme - a union that is forbidden in the eyes of the prejudiced. Against the backdrop of the Caribbean sun and tropical storms, can Ti Moune settle the wager of the Gods, and prove that love is can overcome death.
