Live science show with Dr Chris and Dr Xand packed with experiments and prehistoric mischief.
Operation Ouch: Quest for the Jurassic Fart! follows twin doctors Chris and Xand on a prehistoric scientific expedition with a very unusual objective: discovering the most dangerous, powerful, and important fart in history. Set in the age of dinosaurs, the interactive live show blends adventure, comedy, and biology as the doctors experiment their way through an outlandish and fact-filled narrative aimed at young audiences.
Dr Chris is an infectious diseases doctor and BBC science presenter, while Dr Xand specializes in public health and is a resident expert on BBC Morning Live. The pair bring their offbeat chemistry and medical knowledge to the stage, making science entertaining and accessible.
The show is produced by the Operation Ouch Live team and presented at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall as part of its Winter 2025 season. Following previous sold-out runs in Australia and London’s West End, this latest edition combines multimedia effects, live demonstrations, and audience engagement in a family-friendly format geared toward children ages 5 and up. Special performances include Relaxed and BSL-interpreted showings on 2 January 2026.
