Written by Sophie Swithinbank and directed by Nancy Medina, this dark new play probes trust and justice.
Ash starts a new job cataloguing historic witch trials under the supervision of her boss, Lily. Still reeling from a night out, Ash struggles to adjust—especially when her boyfriend Dom steps in with concern and control. As the women research centuries-old cases of persecution, Lily begins to suspect the threat in Ash’s life may not be confined to the past.
The play is written by Sophie Swithinbank and directed by Nancy Medina, Artistic Director of Bristol Old Vic. Known for work that interrogates power and social structures, both artists bring focus to contemporary issues of coercion and systemic failure.
Set in a modern workplace with echoes of historical injustice, the production examines the personal cost of being silenced and the enduring impact of institutional betrayal.
