Miriam Battye’s play examining romance in the modern world returns to the Soho Theatre.

A couple of total strangers have both swiped right and now they’re meeting for the first time ... as if that’s a normal thing to do.

She’s being awkward, and he’s unbelievably boring. But something is keeping them in their seats...

Miriam Battye’s play interrogates what we really mean when we talk about love, and returns to the Soho Theatre following a run in 2023.

Joint Artistic Director of Paines Plough, Katie Posner, directs this production, which is recommended for ages 14+.

"At times it feels derivative, the cringe inducing self-aware shtick is well worn even if is glossed up in a contemporary sheen. But in any case, let’s hope Battye resists the seductive allure of the television world. Theatre needs more writing like this."
