Hilarious, Entertaining, Absorbing, Delightful, Clever

See it if You want a laugh from the start and believe in saving our countryside and environment. Village idiot was brilliant from start to finish.

Don't see it if You don't like clever witty writing with a moral story.

Funny, Disappointing, Confusing, Ambitious

See it if You just want to see the cast mess around and have fun and want to challenge the pointless rail being built

Don't see it if You like to follow plots (there didn't seem to be much of one or a clear direction it went in)

Great cast!, Wow performances, Funny (un-pc), Many layers, Exaggerated characters

See it if you enjoy in your face Un-PC A train line will run through a rural community capturing the outlook & personalities of their plight

Don't see it if Un-PC & bad language offends.

" This might be a realistic picture of a Brexit-supporting, overlooked pocket of rural England. ... ‘Village Idiot’ feels more like presentation of them, and for all its talk of ‘progress’, I wanted it to display a lot more."

As state-of-the-nation dramas go, they don’t usually ask you not to be a c*nt in the first two minutes. Nadia Fall’s production of Samson Hawkins’ Village Idiot, opens with a welcoming start but proceeds to offend everything that moves. Yet this is equal-opportunities offence
