Set on New Year’s Eve 1942, Sinatra: The Musical traces a pivotal moment in the life of 27-year-old Frank Sinatra as he prepares to perform at New York City’s Paramount Theatre. As his voice propels him to national fame, the story follows the personal and professional pressures surrounding his rise, including his marriage to Nancy Sinatra and his relationship with film star Ava Gardner. Media scrutiny and public scandal soon derail his career, forcing Sinatra to confront failure and rebuild his reputation.

The narrative spans Sinatra’s early success, public backlash, and eventual return to prominence, framing his story through a series of defining performances. The score incorporates more than twenty songs from his catalogue, including “That’s Life,” “One for My Baby,” “The Best Is Yet to Come,” and “I’ve Got the World on a String,” used to underscore key moments in his life and career.

The book is written by Joe DiPietro (two-time Tony Award winner for Memphis and What’s New Pussycat?). The production is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall (Olivier Award winner and three-time Tony Award winner for Anything Goes and Top Hat). The musical is scheduled to open at the Aldwych Theatre in the West End in June 2026.
