This concert staging traces a five-year relationship between two artists, Jamie and Cathy, told through intersecting timelines. Jamie’s story moves forward from the thrill of new love to its unraveling, while Cathy’s journey travels in reverse, beginning at the end of the marriage and working back toward its hopeful beginnings. Their narratives meet only once, offering a fragmented but precise portrait of intimacy, ambition, and loss.

The production stars Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen, Parade) and Rachel Zegler (Evita, West Side Story), performing Jason Robert Brown’s score. Brown, a Tony Award winner (Parade, The Bridges of Madison County), directs the concert and conducts the orchestra.
