Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning drama is hailed as one of the great epic American plays of this past century. The story revolves around two couples - Louis and Prior and Harper and Joe - whose relationships are on the rocks; the former because of Prior’s AIDS diagnosis and Louis’ inability to care for his partner, and the latter due to Joe’s closeted homosexuality and Harper’s constant fears and hallucinations. Hungarian director and filmmaker János Szász presents this play in the round 30 years following its Broadway premiere.
