About the Show

Sanaz Toosi's poignant comedy about a class of Iranian ESL students.

In 2008 Iran, four adult students are in class preparing for the Test of English as a Foreign Language- the key to their green card, medical school, and reuniting with their families. Playing out in awkward lessons of word games and mistranslation, English is both a comedy of errors and an examination of how speaking a new language can expand your world and change your voice.
