A Tony Award-winning family drama revival about memory, loyalty, and a memoir that threatens to expose the past.
Other Desert Cities is set on Christmas Eve in a Palm Springs home, where the Wyeth family—politically connected and outwardly composed—is upended when a daughter returns with a memoir threatening to bring long-buried secrets into the open. What follows is a confrontation between memory, loyalty, and legacy, as old wounds resurface and the family is forced to reckon with competing claims over their shared history and who has the right to tell it.
Written by Jon Robin Baitz, the play originally won the Tony Award for Best Play revival and returns to Broadway in a new production directed by John Benjamin Hickey. The cast is led by Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep, Seinfeld), Ed Harris (The Hours, Atonement), and Allison Janney (The West Wing, Mom), alongside Joe Keery (Stranger Things) and Lily Rabe (American Horror Story).
