Set in Texas in 1893, the musical follows twin sisters Mary and Martha Clarke as they take drastic action to save their family. Concealing their identities and navigating a divided society, the sisters cross boundaries of race, class, and law, transforming from farmgirls into outlaws. Their journey traces the cost and consequence of survival in a world shaped by inequality and limited opportunity.

The production stars Solea Pfeiffer (Hadestown, Almost Famous) as Mary and Liisi LaFontaine (Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Dreamgirls) as Martha. It features a book and lyrics by Angelica Chéri, a descendant of the Clarke sisters, with music by Ross Baum, and direction by Stevie Walker-Webb.
