This new meta-theatrical musical-comedy epic celebrates the magic, the fandom, and the legacy of all things "Star Wars." More…
From the show:
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away…a Staten Island Blockbuster Video to be exact…
Two Star Wars fanatics, Scott and Taylor, write the most epic musical tribute to the force EVER! On their endless quest to perform it at Comic Con - a restraining order, that we won't mention, stands in their way - they have opted to perform it on the glamorous off-broadway stages instead. However, dark forces are looming over their production, and her name is Emily.
"Do Scott and Taylor prevail? Does the show make it to Comic Con? The answers are less important than the good time you'll have getting there...May the FUN be with you!" -Theasy.com
See it if You’re a fan of any level-mild to super geek-you will find this engaging and fun. Lots of great costumes and content too.
Don't see it if You’ve not seen the movies...most if not all of them at the very least at a minimum. The more Star Wars you know the funnier it will be.
See it if If you like star wars series, the movies of star wars, you will like this. Has good humor too it
Don't see it if A no frills show that if you did not watch series or the star wars movies, a lot of it will get away from you.
See it if you enjoy young talent producing fan-specific humor on a low budget. While adding a plot to the Star Wars material, you must know the movies
Don't see it if you only have basic knowledge of Star Wars - you will miss many of the references or you want a polished production-this is low budget fun.
See it if you're looking for a fun evening with no redeeming social relevance. The production is innovative making a lot out of very little.
Don't see it if you know nothing about the films. The people behind me knew a lot & howled with laughter throughout. I know a little and had a good time.
See it if You are familiar w/Star Wars. You enjoy parodies. You want to support a fan-created work that's performed w/ a lot of heart.
Don't see it if You have no familiarity w/Star Wars. You want a consistent tone: veers from good bad camp to actually bad theatre. You dislike parody.
See it if You are a Star Wars fan, fun night out with other Star Wars fans.
Don't see it if You are looking for perfection plot. If you your not a Star Wars fan.
See it if 3-character cast is very talented. Loved costumes & rap song (similar to Hamilton). Most songs catchy. High energy show.
Don't see it if The book is dreadful and cringeworthy. Couldn't wait to get to the next song. Too long (ends 1:40 after time printed on ticket).
See it if you know enough about Star Wars to catch the references. You don't have to be a Star Wars nerd, or even a fan, to laugh.
Don't see it if you don't appreciate campy, off-beat humor. These performers are very funny but in a silly way.
See it if you are obsessed with the Star Wars series of films, know all the chatracters and dialog in each, and don’t mind sophomoric rambling banter
Don't see it if you prefer insightful or emotion-evoking dramatic or musical writing, memorable tunes, analysis of the metaphors and message of Star Wars
See it if (Star Wars nerdom)^2 X theater nerdom = epic number of corny jokes, puns, and semi-homemade cosplay outfits about the Star Wars universe.
Don't see it if Don't know/like Star Wars. Lower budget productions, ok singing/dancing, or kitsch aren't your thing.
See it if you are looking for something light and mindless and also like Star Wars. Some clever songs and clever costuming
Don't see it if you are looking for a Star Wars parody or something that has a story line akin to Star Wars. Plot was silly
See it if you're a Star Wars fan as well as a fan of puns and have a sense of humor about fandom/yourself.
Don't see it if you have zero knowledge of Star Wars or expect A+ singing. There were quite a few bum notes.
See it if You are a Star Wars fan or have seen it, want a fun night out, don't expect a philosophical discourse, can be open minded. Just for fun
Don't see it if If you are not nor want to be a fan of Star Wars, if you don't know who Jar Jar Binks is. If you can't be open to fun, don't see it.
See it if You like top notch singing even if the story is weak; the enthusiasm and talent of the cast would be enough for you
Don't see it if You don't enjoy campy theater; you have no interest in a musical comedy that deals with Star Wars; you like dramas or big splashy musicals
See it if you are a fan of star wars. The do a Hamilton Rap which is worth the ticket. The show is not for everyone but we did enjoy it.
Don't see it if not a fan of star wars, since you won't get a lot of the inside jokes or references. This is not a parody on Star Wars.
See it if you want to have a great time and see a very funny show. The performers are excellent and are a joy to watch them have fun on stage.
Don't see it if you are interest in seeing a very serious show.
See it if you are a big fan of Star Trek, I mean Star Wars or if you’d enjoy a quirky comedy with references to Star Wars. 😉😉
Don't see it if you are not a fan of Star Wars or don’t appreciate small theatre productions.
See it if you enjoy the Star Wars franchise, although this is not a parody, there is enough Star Wars references to keep fans engaged and happy.
Don't see it if you have no interest in Star Wars . You wouldn't get the jokes anyway or you hate to see silliness surrounding your beloved passion
See it if Some hardcore SW fans seemed to like parts (I have seen the Empire Strikes Back about 20 times) but I don't know why anyone would enjoy this
Don't see it if No matter how big a Star Wars fan you are don't go, It is not a parody of Star Wars - it's a pointless irritating story about two SW geeks
See it if very good show, only three characters, multiple costume changes;interesting songs("bad story";"about strong females",etc) and cheerful message
Don't see it if Absolutely hate Star Wars, small theatre, good singing, short shows(85 min)
See it if You don’t mind a low budget high school like production that has some funny campy moments.
Don't see it if You can’t laugh along with the actors at the absurdity of it all.
See it if you love Star Wars, like farces, like meta-theater, enjoy highly referential theatre. Want a light night out.
Don't see it if you want good songs and an interesting plot. While the cast can sing the songs were just not good and that meant the musical never took off.
See it if you are even only a partial Star Wars fan. You do not have to be obsessive to find this production a hoot.
Don't see it if you have absolutely no interest in Star Wars, low-budget musicals, and/or have no sense of humor.
See it if You are a die-hard Star Wars fan who eats drinks and breathes Star Wars. Even then be cautioned, you might be disappointed anyway.
Don't see it if You want quality staging, acting, singing etc. Very amateurish production which I found very difficult sitting through.
