Generations of Canadian children have grown up listening to the poems of Dennis Lee, affectionately known as "Canada's Father Goose." Five of those kids, now grown-up creators, have crafted a musical for all ages that celebrates his work and the very notion of "play." Part of the Soulpepper on 42nd Street festival.
See it if you like imaginative kid shows. AP pleases kids AND adults. Use of simple props is dazzling...sh inspire kids. Funny poems at heart of work.
Don't see it if you want a plotline. Or you dislike children's laughter. This is clever, fluffy fun. I was glad I went...even w/o a young child by my side.
