About the Show

Deaths Head Theatrical presents an immersive theater piece set in an illegal 1930s sideshow.

It's 1936. The country is slowly finding itself again following the Great Depression. Once a ubiquitous (and illicit) distraction from life’s hardships, the carnival sideshow has found itself dwindling in popularity. But not everybody can afford to forget the lives of those on the fringes. Professor Mysterium invites you to relive the wonder and spectacle of his old-school curiosities in modern-day Midtown Manhattan. VIP seats include front of the line access, a reserved table for the floor show, and a toast with the Professor himself. Audience members are encouraged to come in 1930s attire. Ages 18 and up.

See it if You've had at least one drink beforehand & aren't expecting Sleep No More. It's fine but not worth the money without at least 2 free drinks

Variety show on a lower quality

See it if The background music is very nice. I also like the ambience.

Don't see it if Nothing that you haven't seen before. Each act is too short and breaks between scenes are long.

See it if you like seeing a variety of short acts (singing, burlesque, boylesque) in a hipster bar setting with a lot of pauses between acts.

See it if Slumming in another era is your jam, enjoy tepid burlesque in a tatty atmosphere

Don't see it if dislike semi "immersive" theatre events, audience participation gives you the willies, you have standards for cabaret & burlesque

See it if You want flitting moments of entertainment that never coalesce. You want immersive theatre that doesn't involve much effort or reward

Don't see it if You're a big fan of the better similar fare (sleep no more,then she fell, etc), this will leave you cold and confused.

See it if you enjoy variety shows and don't mind breaks between each short and not particularly memorable performance
