Irreverant, Clever, Inventive

See it if you're looking for an original experience, with black actors telling America's story of settling the West, literally building it as they go.

Don't see it if you don't care for a deeply dark, funny and cynical look at America's history of settlement, genocide & violence, with audience participation

Great staging, Dizzying, Confusing, Clever, Ambitious

See it if A creative and critical take on the American west. The town is built before your eyes as the play progresses. Messy and chaotic but it works

Don't see it if As the "town" is built, lots of stories are taking place but becomes difficult to follow with sightlines obstructed by structures Read more

Great staging, Edgy, Confusing, Clever, Ambitious

See it if you're up for a surprising, funny, sharp, but chaotic experience.

Don't see it if you're already aware of the violent reality of Wild West romanticism and its reverb through US history. Nothing new is ultimately said.

Indulgent, Resonant, Thought-provoking, Great staging, Ambitious

See it if A potent, powerful & provocative retelling of how the West was "won" via a performance group from South Africa/Denmark Visually inventive

Don't see it if Often visually & emotionally graphic; at times indulgently so Scenes can go on too longer yet pack the necessary punch Actors carry the show

Relevant, Refreshing, Intelligent, Great staging, Ambitious

See it if you wanted be challenged and see U.S. history from the perspective of South Africans. A unique and revealing point of view.

Don't see it if you like traditional theater and believe that Europeans "won" the west due to their virtue and intelligence rather than through violence.
