About the Show

A coming-of-age play about young musicians navigating pressure and change.

Set during a summer at a prestigious girls’ music program in Berkeley, the play follows four teenagers whose artistic ambitions and personal relationships begin to intensify. As they collaborate and compete, their bonds are tested by creative pressure and the uncertainties of the world beyond the rehearsal room. External instability mirrors their internal struggles, shaping how they respond both onstage and in their evolving friendships.

The play is written by Eisa Davis, a Pulitzer Prize finalist known for Bulrusher and the Warriors concept album. Featuring a score that incorporates elements unique to each performance, the production blends music and drama to explore improvisation, artistic identity, and the challenges of coming of age in uncertain times.
