Entertaining, Great acting, Great singing, Great staging, Refreshing

See it if Very good classic show as are all of Encores productions

Don't see it if If You can’t enjoy a simple well staged musicical

Delightful, Entertaining, Great staging, Masterful

See it if This is a sensational production of a musical with a rather a weak book. The direction and staging are simply outstanding for Encores!

Don't see it if For 5 nights at the City Center, this Grand Hotel has the Broadway polish. The cast makes the intimate moments work while the band plays on.

Delightful, Great staging, Great singing, Great acting, Great dancing

See it if Another Encores this series can do w/talented cast of singers, dancers and musicians.

Don't see it if If you're not interested in broadway musical revivals. You can't plan in advance-Encores series only has 5 performance days.

Thoughtful book, Magical moments

See it if you want to see a show with a fabulous orchestra, some of the best dancing on Bway, a gorgeous set, and several wondrous moments.

Don't see it if you do not like the above! Brandon Uranowitz is so talented. His body seems to be made of rubber. James Snyder's voice was commanding.

Also He seemed to really love his love interest. William Ryall and the two ... Read more Read less

Entertaining, Great acting, Great singing, Great staging, Delightful

See it if you want a grand play done with zest/ excitement.Enjoyed revisiting this forgotten show after seeing the original on Broadway.Delight-full.

Don't see it if you don't mind missing a revival of a Broadway classic not often performed with such wit and style. Loved the costumes and the simple set.

Great singing, Great dancing, Fluffy, Funny, Dated

See it if you want to see some incredible tango dancing and some knock-it-out-of-the-park vocal performances.

Don't see it if you expect to see something in line with today's values.

Great singing, Quirky, Slow

See it if You never had a chance to see the original and you want to add to your theater education.

Don't see it if You're expecting a satisfying plot. This is a bunch of vaguely connected story lines. Even for a semi-staged production the staging was off.

Entertaining, Exquisite, Great singing, Great staging

See it if you love the Grand Hotel score or if you've never seen it. want to see a hell of an impressive staging with limited rehearsal!

Don't see it if can't think of a reason not to

Absorbing, Entertaining, Exquisite, Must see, Masterful

See it if You like musicals. This was exponentially better than I ever thought it could be from growing up with the album.

Don't see it if You don’t like musicals. The thing is perfect.

Despite initial drag, it eventuallly soars

See it if It starts off slow (much exposition) but musical numbers soar midway thru to the end. Choreography helps keep it bouyant. No intermission.

Don't see it if you need a show to grip you from the first moment; this won't.

Also I have fond memories of the original with Brent Barrett & Michael Jete... Read more Read less

See it if You enjoy Encores! shows. This is one of their best. Beautiful dancing, singing. Fully staged/costumed. Very moving.

Slow, Fluffy, Disappointing

See it if You are interested in a show where the chorus is more consistently appealing than most of the leads.

See it if you want to see what Encores does best - a phenomenal cast in an excellent production of a show that deserves a second look.
