"Velour, who is gender fluid and uses feminine pronouns when dressed as a Queen, pushes us to realize that the distinction between male and female, like past and present, good and evil, singular and plural, is a construct, restrictive for daily living but productive for artistic creation...It’s not quite right to say that there’s just one person in the show. "Velour’s piece is housed in a comfy proscenium with all the tech and design of an Off-Broadway show with ambitious stories to boot...Consistently thoughtful with some of the most gorgeous drag concepts I’ve seen – notwithstanding some superfluous padding, especially in the first act...Through wonderfully executed concepts and technical designs enacted by Velour, the evening took on a circular narrative around the queen’s drag past, present, and future."

“Sasha is the real deal. Her commentary in between songs was funny, honest and revealing...Sometimes the queens on the show feel false to me...But I get none of this from Sasha, who is fierce and smart...The performances were...complicated and sometimes felt more like performance art than say, a lip synch for your life...The level of images and dreams that Sasha works with does cut through to an emotional, non-verbal response better than intellectualising.”

“This beautiful, incredible and inspiring show had so many layers. It was funny, quirky, mesmerizing, creative and absolutely stunning. There is truly nothing else like it in the world that combines theatre, art and drag so effortlessly. It’s a rare and special celebration of who Sasha Velour is and is an inspiring collection of performances that will encourage you to break the boundaries and reach for your dreams in your own way. This wasn't just a drag show, it was a life experience.”
