See it if You’re a fan of the show, you wanna laugh, and enjoy cheesy humor with pop culture references. You like small theaters.

Don't see it if You know nothing about the show. Like a more extravagant musical experience.

See it if you love musical comedies and laughing A LOT. SO much more than just a parody musical! I have never watched Stranger Things and I LOVED IT.

Don't see it if you'd rather watch something serious. There aren't many musical comedies in NYC these days (especially GOOD ones), so don't miss this. Read more

See it if Inventive, infectious musical parody of cult TV series spoofing all things 80's DYI quality adds to the charm Zesty, campy ensemble esp Barb

Don't see it if A working knowledge of the Stranger Things series is very helpful but not necessary The overall 80's vibe in all its insanity is the trope

See it if you want to laugh your face off for 2 hours. Someone snort laughed next to us. It’s one of the funniest shows ever on or off Broadway.

Don't see it if you don’t like funny.

"You don’t have to be an ardent follower of the Netflix to be thoroughly entertained by Jonathan Hogue’s sprightly, savvy book, music and lyrics, all of which reveal a budding theater-maker."

"If you’ve never seen 'Stranger Things,' prepare to be hopelessly lost when it comes to the entangled plotlines, but stick around for the handful of dynamic performances, clever choreography and amusing shoutouts to film musicals."

"Maybe it’s unfair to rag on the show having been written several years ago. But it would help if Stranger Sings was more diverting purely as a musical. The songs are serviceably bouncy, but immediately forgettable."

This energetically performed and well-presented musical spoof of the Netflix Sci-Fi series will delight fans and its zaniness should entertain non-viewers.

"Theater that recreates television in all its reassuring comfort-food predictability, with familiar characters in familiar settings acting out familiar story lines. There’s something to be said for a live show that manages to recreate the laid-back atmosphere of your living room."

"With a bit of work, Stranger Sings! could truly live up to its full potential as a parody of the beloved Netflix show. The cast and crew clearly have a love for the original and a passion for putting on a great performance, but there could be improvements for audiences visiting the Upside Down."
