"This show combines a parody of piracy and 'A Christmas Carol' with audience-assisted improvisation and a variation on the children’s fill-in-the-blank game Mad Libs. I don’t know how many other pirate holiday spectaculars (excuse me, spectacularrrs) may be vying for greatness, but this has to be the most inspired and funniest...These onstage mateys may not be the Rockettes, but who needs a toe-tapping tin soldier number when you can have a pirate duel with candy canes?"

"Taking the young ones to the theatre during the holidays always seems like a good idea beforehand, but often, you wind up at a show that bores the adults or alternative turns the kids into fussy little fidget machines. That won’t happen at 'The Greatest Pirate Holiday Specatularrr!' It is primarily an exercise in children’s theatre, or maybe theatre appropriate for children, with enough word play and innuendo to keep Mom and Dad amused."

"The jokes in general were more kid-oriented but many parents, such as myself enjoyed them as well, especially some of the references...The show is peppered with really funny and improvised songs that contribute to the lighthearted atmosphere."
