Absorbing, Ambitious, Great acting, Great singing, Intelligent

See it if you enjoy a thrillingly sung version of the Stephen Sondheim/John Weidman masterpiece.

Don't see it if you require a full orchestra and elaborate scenery.

Exceeded my expectations

See it if Terrific cast, nicely staged.I didn't miss having a set or an orchestra at all. The actors kept it moving right along. Stand out performances

Don't see it if Don't sit dead center. You'll have a gun pointed at your face multiple times. A little disconcerting.

Disconcerting, Ambitious, Great direction, Vivid characterization

See it if you want to see an excellent production of a hard show by a small theater. They make use of their space well.

Don't see it if you'll be bothered by guns pointing directly at the audience, lack of props. Usual "this is about killing presidents" apply.

Clever, Entertaining, Great staging

See it if you want to see a nice local group that dares to try. Clever use of the theater and in BROOKLYN.. How can one miss Sondheim with a (cont)

Don't see it if you expect a spectacle and are easily upset by U.S. disasters

Also (continued from plus ) work that is rarely done.. This troop should do more work, Some fine singing by the entire cast.. We had seen The Roundabout and Encores versions and were happy to see this one too. Josh Powell was a standout (We thought that it was the real Booth)

Absorbing, Great acting, Great singing, Entertaining, Great writing

See it if You like good acting and singing in a somewhat quirky play. Standout performance by Dans Bernard as Squeaky but entire cast great

Don't see it if You don’t like off Broadway minimalist production or subject matter

Entertaining, Great singing, Clever, Intelligent, Relevant

See it if You are curious about one of Stephen Sondheim's lesser-known works. You're intrigued by the subject matter of a review of various assassins.

Don't see it if You find actors brandishing guns about the stage distasteful. You don't like his songs. You want to leave the theater humming or whistling.

Some great acting and singing, Entertaining

See it if You are a Sondheim fan and/or want to support a community theater with some talented members. Jana Bernard’s performance was great.

Don't see it if You are not comfortable with a play about killings and attempted killings of presidents of the United States.

"Nothing short of brilliant - especially when presented by Brooklyn Heights' own Theater 2020...Molded into something so beautiful by the cast and crew...The show is undeniably great. It is not only the immense talent of a flawless cast, but just how this rather unnerving plot ensnares its audience to the point of not only massive applause, but that of massive appreciation...Just ridiculously riveting (and a wonderful history lesson to boot)."
