Moonlit lovers and fairies collide in a playful, communal Globe production directed by Emily Lim.

On the eve of a royal wedding, a group of amateur performers prepares a play, drawing the audience into a forest where the everyday meets the extraordinary. Lovers chase desire and connection while crossing paths with mischievous spirits in a fairy realm.

The production is directed by Emily Lim, whose previous credits include Brighter Still (Bradford City of Culture) and The Odyssey (National Theatre/Public Acts). The creative team also features Juliet Horsley as Casting Director, Jim Fortune composing the score, Fly Davis designing costumes, and Aldo Vázquez on set design.

Presented by Shakespeare’s Globe, this staging combines a classic Shakespearean narrative with immersive theatrical elements. The Globe Theatre becomes a space for communal celebration, integrating traditional storytelling with inventive staging to explore the interplay between humans and the magical.
