Set in the Russian countryside, the play follows Natalya Petrovna, a woman whose outwardly stable and privileged life begins to unravel with the arrival of a young tutor. Though surrounded by comfort, admiration, and routine, Natalya finds herself drawn toward emotions that challenge the structure of her marriage and social position. As attraction spreads through the household, relationships become strained by longing, jealousy, and unspoken dissatisfaction.

This production presents Brian Friel’s reworking of Ivan Turgenev’s A Month in the Country. Directed by Lyndsey Turner, the play examines the tension between social propriety and emotional desire through an ensemble of characters caught between duty and personal fulfillment.
