Two men risk arrest for love and music in 1965 New York.
New York City in 1965, the musical follows Trevor Copeland and Arthur Brightman, whose romantic relationship is criminalized under the law. By night, they perform together in a clandestine nightclub act called “Midnight,” singing love songs that openly express what they must conceal in daily life. As social tensions intensify at the dawn of a broader civil rights movement, the pair are forced to confront whether to preserve their private bond or engage with the shifting political landscape around them.
The production stars Tony and Grammy Award-winner Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen) and is written by Golden Globe and Grammy Award-winner Mark Sonnenblick, with direction by David Cromer.
