Dated, Ambitious, Enchanting, Clever, Absorbing

See it if You love classic musicals staged and sang to sumptuous perfection!

Don't see it if A bittersweet/sad ending leaves you feeling unsatisfied.

Romantic, Delightful, Absorbing, Thought-provoking, Slow

See it if You like a classic musical with big staging. It looked and sounded great. Fantastic dancing and storytelling.

Don't see it if You don’t like the longest show in the world. It’s fantastic but needs shaving off half an hour or so.

Insipid, Dated, Slow, Funny, Exquisite

See it if you'd enjoy an exquisitely choreographed extravaganza featuring extended instrumental breaks and elaborate costumes.

Don't see it if you cannot withstand dated story, a confusing 25-minute framing device and an unnecessarily extended pace, etcetera, etcetera... (IYKYK!)

Traditional, Classic, Great singing

See it if you want to see a Rodgers and Hammerstein traditionally and well-staged. You want to know if Trixie can sing

Don't see it if you want something new. This is not trying to be that. Read more
